About the Artist
Simon Raskina, a Toronto-based artist and former punk rock vocalist, has built a distinguished career in contemporary realism defined by technical mastery and a vibrant, "technicolor" palette. In a bold shift for 2025, Raskina has embraced a free-flowing, expressionistic style designed to reclaim the raw human touch and defy AI replication through intuitive brushwork. This evolution culminates in his upcoming solo exhibition, "Laugh Lines," featuring a series of humorous and conceptual portraits at Toronto’s Hotel Victoria from May 1st to July 31st, 2026.
